Baby & Me classes have a 6:1 student to teacher ratio and are 30 minutes in length. These classes are designed for children 3 to 36 months. We encourage all parents and caregivers to enroll in the Baby & Me class to optimize their child’s water comfort but understand this is not always possible.

Please use the following as a guideline to best place your child. Children 3– 24 months should enroll in a Baby & Me , semi private group class, or private teacher lead class. Children 24 months - 36 months may enroll in either a Baby & Me or Starfish group class.

At the Gold Medal Swim School we strive to make this a memorable first learning experience for you and your child. All Baby & Me classes use songs and games to help the child feel safe while allowing him or her to discover the joy of swimming in a fun and relaxing aquatic environment.

BABY AND ME:

(AGES 3 MONTHS – 3 YEARS)

BABY & ME I:

Designed as an introductory swimming course for children aged 3-36 months and their caregivers. Instructor and caregiver work with your child on principles of water safety including; pool entry, water acclimation, air regulation, back-floating, submersion, and the survival turn-around sequence. (30 minutes)

BABY & ME II:

Designed for children who have mastered the skills of Baby & Me 1. Instructor and caregiver continue to work with your child on safe entry, underwater acclimation, air regulation, floats, and the survival turn-around sequence. (30 minutes)

BABY & ME III:

Designed for those who have completed Level II and are comfortable swimming under water.
