GENERAL INFORMATION
In the spring of 2007, two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Mike Troy and two-time Olympic Coach Mike Walker partnered to create the “New” Gold Medal Swim School, located at 6909 West Ray Road, suite #27. We are now on the SE corner of Ray Road and 56th Street, behind Makutu’s Island.
The Gold Medal Swim School is committed to the safety, skills, and success of each student. We do not feel it is fair for your child to just “try” swimming lessons, so we ask that you initially commit to eight (8) lessons. Swimming is a lifesaving skill that requires perseverance.
REGISTRATION
Registration is welcome at any time; you may register in person or over the phone. Please call (480)961-SWIM (7946) to speak with one of our registration specialists.
Gold Medal Swim School operates 52 weeks per year on a perpetual enrollment system. This enables you to continually add and/or modify class schedules to meet your child’s needs. Tuition is prorated, if necessary, for your inaugural month. Thereafter, monthly automatic payments are processed on the third (3rd) day of each month. Parents must sign and complete the Gold Medal Swim School waiver and payment option form before a class time may be secured. When you wish to cease enrollment please stop by the front desk or look on our website at www.goldmedalswimschool.com for a 30 day withdrawal form and bring it by or fax it to the front desk at
(480) 961-5069.
Gold Medal Swim School diligently tries to keep the same instructor throughout the year. However, circumstances beyond our control may require a substitute instructor. Tuition covers quality instruction, not a specific instructor.
MONTHLY FEE
We believe in a year-round swim program. The consistency of this type of program will enhance your child’s development of safety, skills, and success in the water. The Gold Medal Swim School charges a flat rate for all lessons. Most months will have four lessons, some three, some five. The average of four lessons per month is based on year-round attendance. Calendar-year students will receive two free classes during the year, based on our holiday and closure schedule. We calculate tuition based on an average of four lessons per month over a calendar year. We do not prorate months for closures. Please see attached schedule for more information.
YEARLY REGISTRATION FEE
One time per calendar year all students are assessed a registration fee.

PAYMENTS
Direct debit or credit card payments will be processed on the 3rd of every month for the upcoming month’s fees.
Persons wishing to pay with cash or check must pay three months in advance or leave a credit card as a backup form of payment. Payment must be received by the 1st of each month. If payment is not received by the 1st of the month the credit card on file will be automatically processed.

Please ask the front desk for more details about appropriate swim diapers.
We request that food and gum remain out of the pool area. For your child’s safety and to ensure the quality of the lesson, please keep long hair and bangs in a ponytail or swim cap and keep fingernails and toenails trimmed to prevent injury to instructors and other students. No shoes allowed on pool deck.
