Swim lessons children


All Learn to Swim classes are 30 minutes in duration. For safety reasons, group classes at the Starfish and Seahorse levels have 3 children per class. Dolphin level classes and above are taught with a maximum of 4 children. Please speak with a registration specialist for additional information and pricing.

STARFISH: Designed for students two years and older.  Starfish classes emphasize water acclimation with safe pool entry, survival turn-around sequence, independent back floating and kicking, air regulation and exploration.  (30 minutes, 3 students/class)

SEAHORSE: Designed for students who have completed the Starfish curriculum.  Seahorse classes emphasize the advanced survival jump sequence, extended air regulation, rotational kicking, and FUNdamental backstroke. (30 minutes, 3 students/class)

DOLPHIN: Designed for students who have completed the Seahorse curriculum.  Dolphin classes emphasize backstroke, FUNdamental freestyle using the roll-to-back technique for breathing, advanced rotational kicking, and streamline underwater kicking. (30 minutes, 4 students/class)

SEAL: Designed for students with strong freestyle and backstroke technique.  Seal classes emphasize bilateral side-breathing for freestyle, advanced backstroke, FUNdamental flip turns, and butterfly “wiggle kicks.” (30 minutes, 4 students/class)  Eligible to participate in the Gold Medal Swim League Meets.

STINGRAY:
Designed for students who have previously mastered freestyle and backstroke.  Stingray classes teach breaststroke, butterfly, breaststroke racing pullouts and underwater streamline dolphin kicks for competition. (30 minutes, 4 students/class)
Eligible to participate in the Gold Medal Swim League Meets.
