GMSS Swim Teams
Pre Competitive Swim Team: Pre Competitive Swim Team is part one of a three-step process designed to help swimmers transition to year round competitive USA sanctioned swimming.  Pre Competitive Swim Team is for swimmers looking to begin racing, interacting as a team unit, and increase technical skill while gaining fitness.  Pre Competitive Swim Team workouts emphasize competitive technique and competitive swimming rules within the team experience.  Focus is on advanced flip turns, endurance swimming, speed training, and transition to competitive swimming.  Swimmers should be 6 years or older to enroll.



Competitive Swim Team
: Competitive Swim Team is part two of a three-step process designed to help swimmers to transition to year round competitive USA sanctioned swimming.   Competitive Swim Team is an increased commitment of time and energy from the Pre Competitive Swim Team.  This team is open to swimmers 8 years or older who have completed the Pre Competitive Swim Team OR the Stingray class and have instructor approval.   Competitive Swim Team workouts emphasize highly refined racing technique, endurance training, and in workout racing to prepare for competitive swim meets.  The Competitive Swim Team meets August through May, at the Gold Medal Swim School.
